Michael Anderson grew up in Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science. He also has an Associates degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering but has worked in the non-profit arena since 1987. Michael continued to study public communication and leadership and received his Master’s Degree in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University. In addition to extensive experience as a public speaker, he helped develop communication curricula that are used around the world and continues to travel around the world training communicators and communication trainers. He also holds certifications in executive coaching, CoreClarity, and Action Learning.
Michael’s experiences include a six-year enlistment in the Connecticut National Guard, traveling as a professional musician, living with his wife and children in South Africa and Singapore, serving as Director of Training, Human Resources Director, and Marketing Director. Currently, Michael helps lead team building and leadership development initiatives for a non-profit. He is an adjunct professor in the Townsend Leadership Institute at Concordia University, Irvine, and at Indiana Wesleyan University. Michael and his wife, Lisa live near Dayton, Ohio in their “empty nest.”
