With more than thirty-two years of experience coaching, developing, and leading in the nonprofit sector while investing holistically in young adults, Mark brings a breadth and depth of practical skills into his TLP and coaching. He has leadership experience at the local, regional, and national levels of a multi-national, worldwide non-profit. As an executive leadership coach and consultant, Mark helps tired, seasoned leaders transition to an unforgettable second half of life. He is skilled in helping high impact leaders identify which of four root issues holding them back and helps those leaders create an organizational culture that allows others to thrive.
As a growth-minded leader, Mark has been practically applying the Townsend model to his local ministry for over thirty years. He earned an undergraduate degree in public speaking from Northern Illinois University as well as a Master’s of Theology and Ph.D. from Southern Seminary in family ministry focused on the relationship between young adult sons and their fathers. He also earned a Master’s of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Mark lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with Diane, his wife of thirty-one years, and they have raised four adult children: Drew is married to Monica and they are the proud parents of Mark and Diane’s two granddaughters, Nora and Ava; Justin is married to Katie; JT is a video editor for the Denver Nuggets and lives in Cincinnati, OH; and Addie is a fifth year senior in college.
